Our client is on the hunt for a Derivatives Trader. This is an exciting opportunity for a junior trader to join the highly-rated Derivatives Dealing Desk at the company. Key Responsibilities:
- Support Senior Traders while learning and mastering the trading process
- Provide clients with high-quality, asset-class-specific market intelligence
- Focus on revenue generation by being proactive and taking initiative
- Execute orders with accuracy and accountability
- Produce and distribute research and market intelligence for the derivatives desk
- Create bespoke or ongoing research products and trading ideas
- Engage in regular client interactions and handle queries promptly
- Participate in morning meetings and contribute to the overall desk operations
Experience:
- 1-3 years of experience in a stockbroking or investment banking environment
- Ideally proficient in trading/information systems
- Strong passion for financial markets, particularly in derivatives
Qualifications:
- A tertiary qualification, with a strong foundation in Statistics and Economics
- Completion of relevant JSE trading exams (RPE) would be an advantage
- Solid skills in Excel; programming knowledge is a plus
